Become a Host Family for Foreign Exchange Students
Do you want to host an International student? Join us and participate in this life-changing experience! Once approved, you can host an international student for an entire academic year. We reimburse your expenses at $300 per month. The student needs a separate bed, but can share a room; he/she needs a place to store personal belongings, and a reasonable expectation of privacy. You will provide all meals outside of school; we will provide school meals and a set of ALA polo shirts.
In order to participate, you should have a student in high school. You will be responsible for providing transportation for the International student; he/she may utilize the same method of transportation that your son/daughter uses (i.e. bus, walk, drive, etc.). You will get an inside look at another culture! You should treat your international student as one of the family. He/she should share in family chores and other activities.
